News Update April 23th 2006

Another mouth to feed! We would like to welcome BLOOD REDEMPTION to the Genet roster. Check their myspace & have a listen! Make sure to show up at the 2 release shows BLOOD REDEMPTION will be playing to present its self–titled debut CD: 30/6 in Roeselare (de Mooie Molen) and 7/7 in Heist (Ravelingen). News Update March 6th 2006

Genet records is glad to announce that we have signed 2 new bands to our roster: PSALM and ASHEMA. PSALM is a Brussels based power quintet that features former members of ZACCHARIA & BROKEN PROMISES. They just returned from recording their debut full-length in Boston, USA at the Austin Enterprise studio with no one less than Steve Austin (CONVERGE, LAMB OF GOD, VOIVOD, HIMSA, TODAY IS THE DAY, etc.). The album will be entitled "The Fortunes Complexity (In Five Cycles Of Torments)" and it should be out in May. Check here to listen to 3 brand new tracks.
From the ashes of FULL COURT PRESS & PERSONAL VENDETTA comes ASHEMA. Their sound can be described as a mixture between MACHINE HEAD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE & HATEBREED. Genet will be releasing their debut MCD debut April. Band profiles for both PSALM & ASHEMA should be available on the bands page soon!

CHIMAERA are working on new songs. Expect them to be even faster & more intense than ever before!! They are still playing loads of shows and plan to make trips to Austria/Switzerland (April), France/Spain (May) as well as the Baltic states (summer). Get in touch if you can help with bookings or promo in your area!!

MINUS45DEGREES have a new website online: www.minus45degrees.com
They are currently rehearsing with a new drummer and hope to be playing out soon again!

Everything is going well for NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY. They did a 10 day tour at the end of 2005, start of 2006 in order to support their brand new MCD "Talking To The Wall". It was released on the German "No Panic" label & the first press sold out in no time! The 7" version is coming in May. The band now also has a new drummer and they will start playing shows again in March.

DIE MY DEMON parted ways with drummer Ali & guitar player Deniz. Thomas & Jonnek will be replacing them. Check the shows page to see where you can go see them live. The main focus currently lies on writing new material, but that process is being delayed due to the line-up change.

LIAR's "Invictus" re-release is still available. In the meantime they also released their fifth full-length "Murder Manifesto" on GSR. Make sure to add both CDs to your collection in case you haven't done so yet!

WALLS OF JERICHO >> the repress of "A Day And A Thousand Years" is also still available, and the band is rumoured to be working on a new album, more news on that shortly.

H8000 CD part #2 >> no release date set yet, but it is bound to happen near the end of 2006.

News Update October 28th 2005

STATEMENT: Genet is dead, long live Genet!
Yes, that's right. Genet is dead and buried... The part of Pyrrhus that was responsible for numerous excellent releases, crazy showcases and the Ieperfest bill has been abolished. It is no more...
However, Genet was killed only to be revived by some of the icons in Belgian Underground Hardcore Culture as a brand new volunteer-run DIY no-nonsense non-profit organisation. It has been re-founded by Hans (LIAR, Toxic Merch and 24 Clothing) and Bruno (Pyrrhus), both longtime scene stars, supported Mandy and Jürgen, 2 longtime Hardcore adepts, who deal with Genet's organisational and legal strength... It makes Genet belong to those labels that go to the base of hardcore that still thrives on spirit, instead of profitablility.
Apart from these founding members, a whole army of volunteers is rising to spread the prophecy of hardcore, metalcore, emo, punk, metal, screamo, grindcore, thrashcore, etc. to wherever you live, by means of releases, shows, Bullet magazine, a website and last but not least, their vastly important input on the Ieperfest bill, which each year takes your favorite hardcore festival to the highest possible standards...
We will relentlessly keep supporting international hardcore, as well as giving ample chances to the kids involved in the local scenes. Awesome showcase bills, several new releases each year, etc. … all of which will fit into the already awesome discography till date... There is tons of information on our website for you to check out.
We will also keep on spreading the messages that we believe to be an important part of hardcore, such as do-it-yourself, vegetarianism, pacifism and tolerance...
And how can we start any better that by launching a new website? We hope you enjoy it! Get in touch with any questions / remarks you might have.

LABEL NEWS
We are happy to welcome MINUS45DEGREES to the Genet family. This band featuring ex-CLOUDED drummer Serge & Jeroen (NILGHAI, ex-SYC) has been going for a while. Now they have a stable line-up with Benny (ex-SQUEAK) & John (NILGHAI) and they plan to take the music scene by storm. They will be recording their debut full-length "Mute" from late January through-out February & March. We are aiming for a late May release date. Check their website over at www.minus45degrees.com.
CHIMAERA have been on the road for a 10 day European tour with UK's DIGNITY DIES FIRST in late 2004 and played a few more successful dates in Germany in Belgium . They are currently finishing the tracks for their new full-length. They plan to record in spring 2005. The exact release date will be announced in the next weeks. In the meantime, you can check a brand new compilation track they recorded a while ago. Check out the comp at:. http://provincies.poppunt.be/puurCD2005/index.php

DIE MY DEMON's "Smell The Rat" CD has been out for a while now & it has been getting rave reviews everywhere. They plan to play many more gigs throughout 2005 and they might be coming to a place near you soon. We will keep you informed.

And a Happy New Year to everyone from the NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY headquarters! Here's singer Danny with an update:
"As you might have heard, Adam no longer plays drums in NGCS. Main reason for that is his lack of time. He has so much work with BRIDGE TO SOLACE. Also the distance made it hard to write and practise new songs. The good news however is that we have a new drummer called Stefan. He used to play in HOPE DIES LAST and also plays in THE PATH. And even though we all still love Adam it's so awesome to finally practise once a week. We already wrote a bunch of new songs! The new situation makes it a lot easier to play out more often. No more need to cancel shows all the time! We will do a 10-day tour over Europe in the end of May together with THE PATH, a band that consists of 3/5 NGCS members. Dates coming soon. E-mail (ngcs@gmx.at) us if you can help out with or show or if you know someone who could! We are also planning to go to the studio soon to record some of our new stuff. Those new songs will be more powerful, more intense & more in your face than ever before, yet keeping the necessary melodic touch! So we are all ready and motivated for a better 2005!

Shows:
Jan 28 2005 Juz Spektrum Leoben (Austria), w/worlds between us Jan 29 2005 tba Klagenfurt (Austria) w/worlds between us Feb 5 2005 Rejs Rzeszow, (Poland) w/worlds between us Mar 11 2005 Arena Vienna, (Austria) w/Under siege Apr 3 2005 Kulturkeller (Austria) w/ Undying/Bridge to solace Jul 10 2005 Burning Season festival (Austria) w/heaven shall burn, maroon, black friday 29, settle the score, Born from pain and tons more."

The new MORDA full-length should see the light of day in summer. Stay tuned for more info.
